Two local charities received donations from the proceeds of the Official Market opening on 16th December. Babies in Need, a local charity that provides baby blankets and essential items to needy mothers as well as the Campaign against Canned Hunting, a wild life conservation charity.

Those that have visited Sedgefield recently will have seen that there has been a lot of activity on the island just off the N2.
Mosaic Market has been birthed and re-built. Island residents are excited by the clean up that has taken place in their area. All the old stalls have systematically been stripped and replaced with under roof structures.
The food component of the market has been increased to accommodate gourmet offerings of many types. The arts and crafts section has retained the variety and speciality items that they have become known for.
The remainder of the property will receive attention and upgrading in 2014. This will see the property becoming an attraction throughout the week, with the highlight of the Market on Saturdays.
